Jessica Simpson posts about the truth of pandemic parenting

Jessica Simpson, like most parents, is having a rough go of it amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Ten months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Simpson took to Instagram with a post about how she's faring trying to parent while being stuck at home all the time.

"The maze of quarantine holiday Motherhood has knocked me on my butt...well for the next 5 mins at least. Ha," Simpson wrote alongside a tired selfie.

Simpson is mother to Maxwell, 8, Ace, 8, and Birdie, 21 months.

Exhausted parents everywhere clamored to the post to acknowledge the singer's struggles, saying they felt much the same way. "It happens when your kids are right on top of you all the time. I have to ask my daughter to give me a break sometimes," one mother wrote.

Another added, "Anxious, guilty, overwhelmed. It's hard work this year!"

Simpson has long been open about her parenting tactics, even revealing to Today Parents that she takes a moment every morning to breathe.

"I wake up before the kids and I do journaling," she said. "I also have these crystals and I light my candle. I just write. It's been such a great outlet because I get out all my emotions."

And even in the throes of parenting amid the pandemic, Simpson still finds times to be silly and let out her fun side. Last week, Simpson posed in a Christmas-themed onesie.

The "Public Affair" songstress captioned the snap, “So I thought Eric was taking a photo from the waist up… 🤪” The image shows a pair of trousers around her ankles.

Simpson was met with support from fellow stars on Instagram. Actress Jessica Alba commented, “You so fit,” while “Orange is the New Black” star Ruby Rose simply commented with crying laughing emojis.
