Jessica Simpson Showers Dad With Love on His Birthday

Jessica Simpson shared a heartfelt message in honor of her father’s birthday.

The “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer took to Instagram to celebrate Joe Simpson turning 62.

“My entire life all I have ever wanted is to be the brightest light that you ignited within me to shine so that others could be guided into their own personal transcending greatness of being,” Jessica captioned a black and white photo embracing her father.

“Thank you for always guiding me with love, leadership, and compassion to the unimaginable achievement of infinite dreams,” she added. “There is nothing in life I am not strong enough for because of your ability to believe the truest purpose is always within reach.”

She continued, “Dad, you are my heartbeat and all that I am will forever be held by your love. Happy Birthday!!! I love you.”

Jessica’s emotional note comes after she previously revealed having gone through some ups and down with her father after he announced he was leaving her mother.

"My father's timing added a layer of terrible sadness to what had been a joyous time," she wrote in her memoir “Open Book," reported "Entertainment Tonight." "For a long time, I harbored a lot of resentment about the way he told me the family I knew was over."

The pair have since mended their complicated relationship and it appears to be as strong as ever.

She followed up the birthday post by taking time to celebrate another milestone, her daughter Birdie turning 11 months old.

“This yummy Birdie is 11 months today!!!,” Jessica captioned a pic holding her adorable bundle of joy. “I can’t even believe how fast time goes, but when I think about it, I’m like, ‘Good Lord I have done so much in a year!!!’ Ha.”

The mother of three has been busy discussing the details of her new memoir which also revealed her battle with addiction and how she was drunk during a now-infamous interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

The “Dukes of Hazzard” star also went into detail about her obsessive relationship with John Mayer and how she wishes she signed a prenup with Nick Lachey prior to their divorce.

“Open Book” is currently #1 on the New York Times Bestsellers List in the combined print and e-book nonfiction category.
