Unless he lands a lead in a “Taxi Driver” reboot, Matt Damon probably won’t go back to the mohawk hairdo his daughters recently gave him.

During an episode of “The Tonight Show, the star recounted a time when he let his daughters dye his hair red and give him a mohawk the same night he FaceTimed with the mayor of Dalkey, Ireland -- none other than U2 frontman Bono.

It seems that during some downtime during the filming of his latest hit, “The Last Duel,” Damon and family decided to hang town around when filming was suspended due to coronavirus concerns.

"My family and I, we just took a vote and we decided to stay and it was a great decision,” said the actor, 51. “We had a great time there and just got absorbed into this beautiful little community there.”

Once it was obvious Damon wouldn’t be going back on set for awhile, the family took the opportunity to mess with dad’s coif.

"I had let the kids dye my hair red,” said Damon. “It was their art project basically, and it was clear that we weren't going back to work.”

Best friend and actor Ben Affleck, who was also a guest on the show, added: "There's nothing children like more than to humiliate their parents."

Damon went on, “Then they decided that I needed a mohawk, so they mohawked me. And that was the night that I FaceTimed him, and [Bono] was like, 'What are you doing?!’”

The black and white pic Fallon showed of the cut and color drew laughs from the audience: "The hair was actually maroon,” explained Damon, adding, “I looked like a rooster.”

“The Last Duel” is the first co-writing script with his pal, Ben Affleck, since the classic “Good Will Hunting” from 1997.
