Meghan Markle is pregnant again!

Archie's days of being an only child will soon come to an end, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now expecting their second child.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed in a statement on Sunday that Markle and Harry would be parents to a second little person. "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," the statement reads.

The new addition to the family will be Prince Charles and Princess Diana's fifth grandchild and the 10th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.

Photographer Misan Harriman shared a photo of the couple, with Markle cradling her growing baby bump.

The tweet reads, "Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!"

Markle and Harry wed in 2018 and gave birth to Archie in May of 2019. Markle suffered a miscarriage in July of 2020.

Opening up about the miscarriage in an op-ed for the New York Times, Markle describes "an almost unbearable grief."

"Hours later, I lay in a hospital bed, holding my husband's hand," she wrote. "I felt the clamminess of his palm and kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears. Staring at the cold white walls, my eyes glazed over. I tried to imagine how we'd heal."

It is unclear if Harry and Markle plan to have more children following this second child. In a September 2019 interview with Jane Goodall, Goodall warned Harry not to have "too many" children, for the sake of the environment.

Harry responded, saying they would only have "two, maximum!"
