Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to appear in interview with Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey will have the opportunity to sit down and interview Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to CBS Entertainment, the interview will air in a 90-minute primetime special on CBS on March 7.

This will be the first interview that Prince Harry and Markle give since stepping down as senior members of Britain's royal family.

“Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” Viacom, the parent company of CBS, said in a statement announcing the special. “Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

The confirmation of the interview was announced a day after Prince Harry and Markle announced that they were expecting their second child.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed in a statement on Sunday that Markle and Harry would be parents to a second little person. "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," the statement reads.

The new addition to the family will be Prince Charles and Princess Diana's fifth grandchild and the 10th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.

Photographer Misan Harriman shared a photo of the couple, with Markle cradling her growing baby bump.

The caption reads, "Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!"

The couple wed in 2018 and gave birth to Archie in May of 2019. Markle suffered a miscarriage in July of 2020.
