Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor turns one today!
On Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a sweet video celebrating their son’s milestone on social media.
In the video, Meghan read Archie the popular 2009 book “Duck! Rabbit!” in the comfort of their new home in Los Angeles. Prince Harry can be heard giggling behind the camera.
Meghan points out different moments in the story as Archie listens intently while sitting on her lap.
Once Meghan finishes reading the story, Harry cheers her on as Archie looks towards the camera and appears to say, “dada.”
The birthday reading supported the @SaveWithStories campaign in the U.S., created by Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams, and @SaveChildrenUK in the U.K., both organizations that help children affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
"As they celebrate this family moment, the Duke and Duchess wanted to continue to raise awareness around the urgency of bringing food and learning resources to millions of children. The Duchess chose to read one of Archie's favourite stories, 'Duck! Rabbit!'," the couple's statement said per CNN.
Senior members of the royal family sent well wishes from across the pond.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Catherine, posted a photo from Archie’s christening in July 2019 as they wished their nephew a “very happy first birthday.”
The Royal Family Twitter posted a photo of Queen Elizabeth beaming at her eigth great-grandchild alongside Prince Phillip.
Archie’s grandfather, Prince Charles, also sent warm wishes via the Clarence House Twitter account.
The couple remains very private about family life previously sharing a cute photo of baby Archie on New Year’s Eve as he took in some scenic sights with his father.
Archie was also adored by royal family fans all over the world when he appeared in the first Christmas card in 2019.
