Rebel Wilson gets the infatuation with her weight-loss journey.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph's Stellar Magazine, Wilson said that she understands why her fans were so intrigued by her weight loss. The Australian actress recognized people's interest in her journey, saying that she had received “more press... when I do nothing except lose weight” than when she starred in multiple films.
“People are so obsessed with it,” Wilson said. "But I get it. Oprah is one of my heroes. She’s certainly struggled with eating issues and I would always watch her episodes when she spoke about that.”
“I grew up not really trading on my looks, I was the personality girl,” Wilson said. “But after going through my whole health transformation last year, I’ve been in touch with this ‘inner siren.’”
Wilson has made headlines over the past year for her impressive 60-pound weight loss and fitness journey. She frequently updates fans on her body transformation through a thriving social media account.
While her journey included a physical transformation, Wilson's weight loss was also spurred by a desire to take control after learning about her fertility struggles.
“I’ve been going through a fertility journey for the past two years and I’m hoping at some point I may have a family of my own,” she said.
“But it’s still a bit unclear whether that’ll be the case. I feel like [it’s] not over yet. It’s kind of an emotional roller-coaster. But I’ve been trying my best, so whatever will be, will be.”
Earlier this month, the “Pitch Perfect” star looked stunning as she attended the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and Vanity Fair party in Hollywood.
She showed off the look in a series of photos on Instagram. Rebel rocked a sequined blazer-style wrap dress that showed off plenty of leg with a thigh-high slit in the front. She paired her plunging neckline dress with bedazzled black kitten heels and fishnet stockings.
Wilson styled her hair in a messy high bun with swooping side bangs. She was also sure to put her trademark blonde hair on full display. The Australian actress also let her outfit stand for itself by wearing no jewelry or accessories to the event.
