Richard Gere called Martha Stewart asking for a cake she baked on TV

As baked on TV!

Martha Stewart’s delicious cake went from the TV right to Richard Gere’s kitchen.

The lifestyle guru appeared on the “TODAY” show on Wednesday to discuss her golden rules for cake baking as part of the promotion for her 97th book, “Martha Stewart’s Cake Perfection,” out now.

During the appearance, she showcased a trio of cakes including a Lemon Curd Layer Cake and her heavenly Mile-High Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake, which got Gere’s attention.

When she showed off her cakes on Instagram a little later, she said that the “Pretty Woman” star, who is also her neighbor, called and asked for a slice of his own!

"The recipes are mouthwatering and the cakes, beautiful ! As seen yesterday on @todayshow With @hodakotb and @carsondaly by the way the phone call was from my neighbor @richardgereofficial," she wrote.

"He is a neighbor and he wanted the chocolate caramel mile high cake- we took it over to him and his family after the show,” she added.

Now, not everyone can just call up their neighbor Martha and ask for a special delivery.

The good news is that for those who have a craving for her salted caramel chocolate cake, Martha has provided the recipe that’s quick and easy to follow!

Bon appetit!
