Salma Hayek seriously considered getting cosmetic procedures for her role in the upcoming movie “Like a Boss.”
In an interview with “El Gordo y La Flaca,” Hayek shared that she almost got Botox and lip fillers for the part, but decided not to at the last minute because “they told me Botox takes too long to wear off and I had another movie.”
The actress conceded that lip fillers can be removed, “but when the doctor put the needle in it hurt so much that I said ‘no, forget it, I’m not doing this again.’”
Hayek, who was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar in 2003 for her role in “Frida,” says that Miguel Arteta, her friend and the director of “Like a Boss,” called her “and said ‘you have to come do this movie for me.’”
She initially said no because of scheduling conflicts, but after Arteto insisted, she “told him ‘fine, but you have to let me play a crazy character’ and he let me.”
Hayek plays Claire Luna, the leader of a large company who takes advantage of two small business owners, in “Like a Boss.” Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, and Billy Porter also star in the movie, which hits theaters January 10.
