Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Get Matching Tattoos in Memory of Their Dog

Five days after their dog Waldo Picasso was struck and killed by a car, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner paid tribute to him by getting matching tattoos, according to Page Six.

R.I.P. my little angel,” The Jonas Brothers singer captioned an Instagram photo of his new forearm ink depicting the Alaskan Klee Kai dog’s face.

While the “Game of Thrones” star shared a snap of her similar ink to her Instagram Stories with the note: “I miss you, Waldo. Rest in peace my little baby.”

The married couple enlisted the expertise of celebrity tattoo artist Dragon of Bang Bang Tattoo in New York City to do the honor on Monday.

Dragon shared several photos of the duo’s new ink along with the message: "@joejonas @sophiet Thank you so much guys. See you later!"

Last Wednesday, Waldo was hit by a car in a “freak accident” while out with the couple’s dog walker.

According to reports, Waldo got spooked by a pedestrian, broke free from his leash and ran into the street when the car hit him on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The driver of the car did not stop, fled the scene and has not been identified.

Strangely enough, leaving the scene is not considered a crime because a dog is classified as property. So if the couple wanted to pursue any legal action, assuming the suspect is located, they’d have to file a civil lawsuit.

The newlyweds were so distraught over Waldo’s death that they waited two days to report the accident to the authorities.

Jonas and Turner adopted Waldo, and his brother Porky Basquiat, in 2018.
