Like many of us, Ellen DeGeneres is self-isolating at home. In an attempt to kill time, she has been calling a bunch of her celebrity friends.
Since “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” postponed production until March 30 due to the coronavirus, the host is working from home when she can.
The talk show host posted a series of Instagram videos of herself calling Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel, Adam Levine, and John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen.
She first called the Maroon 5 singer and wished him a happy 41st birthday. Like Ellen, Levine said he was “just sitting here.”
The next celeb that was on the list was Timberlake and his wife Biel. When she asked what the couple was doing, they both responded with “Nothing.”
“Okay, call me in an hour,” Timberlake said before hanging up on the talk show host.
She then called Legend and Teigen. “I wish I had kids right now. I’m so bored," DeGeneres said. "Just wanted to call you guys and say hey. Bye.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the cancellation of events of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks to try to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Many talk show hosts are finding creative ways to stay engaged with their audiences.
