FANDEMIC: Gabby Barrett’s New Album Is Here and She’s Ready to Answer All Your Questions

The rising country queen shares candid moments about her new music

Gabby Barrett went live with RADIO.COM on the heels of the release of her brand new album, Goldmine., for a special FANDEMIC Instagram Live. The American Idol contestant turned star opened up about her music and life during the pandemic as she’s been shacked up with Country singer hubby, Cade Foehner.

Barrett has recently set an incredible record with the most first-week streams on a debut album for any Country artist in history. “It’s crazy’’ Gabby exclaims, “it makes everything worth it… it’s been really nice during quarantine to sit here and soak in everything that’s happening.”

Throughout the process of recording her debut album, Gabby candidly explains that she was most excited to share her song, “Footprints on the Moon.”

“That song is such a cool encouraging song that I wish I kind of had when I was performing in high school and before high school… It’s going to be a really fun song to perform,” says Gabby.

So far while in quarantine, Gabby and Cade have been spending time with family in Texas. Before the release of Goldmine, Gabby was spending most of her time in Nashville doing “album prep.”

In terms of focusing on the future of her music career, Barrett says she has headlining plans set for next year when the public can hopefully return to attending live concerts. The Country Queen gets giddy when she imagines the artist she would love to open for on tour and shares that it would be crazy to open for someone like Steven Tyler.

In two years Barrett hopes to take center stage at Madison Square Garden and explains, “when I was growing up I always just thought that if you went to Madison Square Garden or if you performed there and sold it out you’ve made it in the music world.”

Gabby also touches on a collaborating with Foehner and combining her music with family. The “I Hope” singer literally gives us a glimmer of hope when she shares, “I could definitely see duets happening… hopefully in the future there are some plans for that. I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw us singing something on tour together next year.”
