Before the Tampa Bay Bucs and Kansas City Chiefs took the field for Super Bowl LV, a few of our favorites had us at attention for the patriotic start to the annual festivities.

First, singing “America the Beautiful,” H.E.R. mesmerized the lucky 25,000 in Raymond James Stadium with her ethereal voice, as Warren “WaWa” Snipe skillfully signed along. Decked out in bedazzled pants, customized denim jacket and rocking a red lip, H.E.R. absolutely slayed the anthemic song's recognizable melody with her electric guitar. Seriously though, can we talk about that epic solo? All in all, the performance was one for the Super Bowl books. Brava H.E.R., can we get an encore? Oh, our bad we forgot… they have to get to the football playing portion of the evening.
But before that, this year’s honor of singing the National Anthem went to Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church. The combination of this surprisingly harmonious duo made for an incredible yet traditional rendition of our country’s poem turned song of independence. Just the way we like it, sorry Fergie… Opening up the performance, Church, serenaded the crowd with his classic country twang, with Jazmine not far behind. Sweeping in with her smooth and soulful sound to help round out this collaborative performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner.” No lie, we had major goosebumps.
