Three of music’s biggest stars met with 11-year-old Elijah Williams before the young boy died on Friday, showing him love before his 3-year battle with cancer came to an end. Drake, The Weeknd, and J. Cole, each facetimed with Elijah during his "difficult final days," as his favorite artists all sent him their support.
The meetings were arranged with the help of Anderson .Paak's .Paak House nonprofit organization, and Elijah’s family shared a few of these special moments in an emotional post.
“Over the past 3 years, my 11 y.o. cousin, Elijah, has battled cancer with the utmost resilience. Elijah's physical fight is now complete, as he transitioned to heaven on Friday. He didn't leave this world without knowing how much he was loved though,” Elijah’s cousin Michael Watson II shared.
“Last weekend, Elijah got to ‘meet’ 3 of his favorite artists — The Weeknd, J. Cole, & Drake. Incredibly grateful for these 3 super-humans being so caring for my family during this time. We’ll hold onto these moments forever.”
“In a time where there seems like so much is out of our control, one thing that we all have the power to give + show others is LOVE,” Watson concludes.
Elijah also got to facetime with 2018 NASCAR Cup Champion Joey Logano.
