Monday night, Kanye West took to Twitter for a series of messages that devolved into pleas for communication from his wife Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner.
"Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with a doctor," West wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "If I get locked up like Mandela Y'all will know why."
In-between rantings about his upcoming Gap clothing line, Kanye asked, "Kriss and Kim call me now," and posted a screen shot of his text to Jenner, asking for a call.
Fans replied with messages of concern, echoing his call for his wife to reach out and offering up help for the GRAMMY-winning star. The messages on Monday come one day after West's first campaign rally in South Carolina for his presidential campaign announced earlier this month. During the event, West spoke openly about the subject of abortion.
"My mom saved my life. My dad wanted to abort me. My mom saved my life. There would've been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy," he told the crowd, going on to say, "I almost killed my daughter,” revealing he initially wanted his wife to get an abortion prior to the birth of their first child.
"I love my wife. My family must live next to me. It’s not up to E or NBC anymore," he continued on Twitter Monday. "NBC locked up Bill Cosby."
"Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up," he added. "Like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday."
Reaction has been loud from fans and fellow artists, with many worried for his well-being. West has talked previously about his bipolar disorder, and this display is troubling to many who care about him.
After a few hours of social silence, West closed out the evening by redirecting to other topics. "Ima focus on the music now"
