The Travis Scott McDonald's Meal Is Too Lit for the Law

So lit, it's also almost sold out

What happens when Travis Scott has his own meal at McDonald’s, we’ll tell you what, people show up. Especially when Cactus Jack himself makes an appearance, which is exactly what happened at McDonald's restaurant in Downey, California. Travis’s appearance had the fans absolutely “Lovin It,” the police however, not so much.

As to be expected more peeps showed up than were expected, which reportedly led Travis to be fined for the promotional stop, for lack of requisite permits for a gathering of 200 or more, or approval to film. According to reports, Trav was hit with a $200 fine. However, neither Travis or his team have yet to respond.

The Downey Police Department tweeted on September 8 that Scott’s appearance “was neither approved nor permitted by the City of Downey,” and therefore officers “were dispatched in response to a large crowd gathered and focused on traffic and pedestrian safety concerns until the crowd dispersed.” No arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

And apparently fines aren’t the only thing Scott and Mickey D’s should be concerned about, The Travis Scott Meal seems to be such a hit, the chain is said to be experiencing ingredient shortages nationwide.

According to a memo from McDonald’s, just one week after the meal’s official debut some restaurants are already running short on key ingredients; including Quarter Pounder beef, bacon, slivered onions and shredded lettuce.

Per the memo sent to employees, owners and operators across the country, McDonald's stated, ”we’ve created a program that’s so compelling to our customers that it’s stretching our world-class supply chain; and if demand continues at these levels, more restaurants will break supply.”

Scheduled to be available through October 4, the $6 meal of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, bacon and lettuce, a medium order of fries with BBQ sauce and a Sprite will only be available to order through the McDonald’s app starting September 22.

So if you're one of the many that's "Lovin" the Travis Scott Meal, go ahead and download that app while you wait for a McDonal's near you to receive their restock.
