It’s a fall tradition unlike any other as the Peanuts gang will get you in the Halloween spirit as It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown once again will return to your TV set.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown was not shown on television last year after Apple TV+ became the exclusive home for all Peanuts specials and new content with the Charles Schulz characters.
As you cozy up on the couch with a cup of hot apple cider, here’s all the ways you can watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown this year.
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown will air on all PBS and PBS KIDS stations on Sunday, October 24th at 7:30 PM ET/PT. You can find your local PBS member station at PBS.org.
The Peanuts special first aired on CBS on October 27, 1966 and was an annual tradition on the network until 2000. ABC picked up the rights to the Peanuts library and aired it until 2019.
In 2020, the aforementioned Apple TV+ deal with Peanuts meant that it was the first year It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown wasn’t shown on television since it was first aired. However, Apple and PBS reached a deal to show A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas on television in 2020.
As Apple TV+ holds the rights to the Peanuts library, it will be the only option for streaming the special this year.
