Justin Bieber Is Not a Fan of Popeyes’ Chicken Sandwich

Justin Bieber is unimpressed with the latest entry in the fast-food chain poultry wars.

The 25-year-old finally tried Popeyes’ Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich and he’s not buying into all the positive reviews, according to People.

“All this hype on the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, let me see what we got here,” the “Sorry” singer said to his 121 million Instagram followers just prior to biting into one of the buttermilk fried chicken delicacies.

After savoring a few morsels he unleashed his verdict saying, “It’s good but it’s not worth the hype.”

But there was one menu item that did exceed his expectation. “Sweet tea’s bangin’ though,” the Canadian pop star added.

While Bieber may be a tough crowd, he appears to be in the minority.

Back in August, when Popeyes first launched their spicy chicken sandwich demand was so high that within two weeks the new menu item was completely sold-out nationwide.

News of the shortage caused panic to the sandwich’s rabid fanbase as one man tried to sue the chain for false advertising and another actually pulled a gun on employees after he was notified they didn’t have anymore on hand.

Following a more than two-month hiatus, the chain revealed the highly-coveted item was making a permanent comeback to all restaurants beginning November 3rd.

The sandwich’s return has been met with long lines at the restaurants across the country and even lead to a deadly altercation.

A 28-year-man was stabbed to death after a fight broke out with another customer at a Popeyes in Maryland. Police said the incident began over someone cutting in line.

While a Los Angeles woman destroyed her vehicle by attempting to bypass the cars in front of her after refusing to wait in a drive-thru line.

Hopefully the hysteria will die down soon so everyone can enjoy the sandwich’s deliciousness in peace.
