It has been ten years since “Bridesmaids” has hit theaters, and we are sure that you probably still laugh at the comedy every time you watch it.
Over the weekend, the comedy cast and crew members celebrated the tenth anniversary of the classic movie while sharing some exclusive and behind-the-scenes moments.
“Bridesmaids” actress Kristen Wiig plays Annie, a baker, has been going through a challenging period when her childhood best friend Lillian, played Maya Rudolph, asks her to be the maid of honor at her wedding. Wiig’s character then fights with Lillian’s new friend Helen, played by Rose Byrne. Other bridesmaids in the movie are played by Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ellie Kemper.
In honor of the anniversary, McCarthy posted some pictures with her costars that fans have never seen.
“Who knew the recipe for joy would involve vomit, a carpal tunnel glove and a kangol hat,” wrote McCarthy, whose performance in 'Bridesmaids' earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. “Happy 10 year anniversary Bridesmaids!!! I’d marry you all over again.”
Judd Apatow, a producer for the movie, shared a photo of the cast in their bridesmaid dresses, writing, “Looking through the files. Finding some great ones.”
Paul Feig, the director of the comedy, posted a throwback with Kristen Wiig and writer Annie Mumolo. “Exactly 10 years ago, these two amazing people let me direct their brilliant script and it came out in theaters,” he wrote. “I will forever be indebted to them, @juddapatow and our amazing cast for one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I love you all.”
