Lindsay Lohan and ‘Parent Trap’ Director Nancy Meyers Tease a Reunion

Get ready “Parent Trap” fans, Nancy Meyers, the director of the movie, has some exciting news.

Meyers, who directed the 1998 film, posted a throwback picture of herself and Lindsay Lohan on set.

She captioned the photo, “I have some #ParentTrap news to share next week. #ItsGoingToBeFun. (Not a sequel. Sorry!)”

People reported that Lohan, who played Hallie Parker and Annie James, retweeted a news article on Meyer’s announcement.

"We're shaking," one fan wrote below Lohan’s tweet.

"Oh my God!!! I would die!!" another fan tweeted.

The film tells the story of twins Annie and Hallie. The girls were separated at birth, and each was raised by one of their biological parents. The girls meet each other for the first time at summer camp.

In an instant, the twins come up with a plan to bring their family back together.

Dennis Quaid starred as father Nick Park, and the late actress Natasha Richardson played mother, Elizabeth James.

The stars of the movie have been relatively quiet in recent years with Lohan working on her reality show, "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club." Back in November, however, Quaid defended his age gap with his 26-year-old fiancée.

Quaid is unbothered by his nearly forty-year age difference with 26-year-old fiancée Laura Savoie. The 65-year-old is having a "laugh" over the news coverage of the couple's large age gap following their engagement.

"No, it really doesn't bother us," Quaid said in an interview with The Guardian.

"Everyone comes from the perspective of their own life and so I can't comment on the way they feel; I can't even get angry."

Contrary to what some may think, the actor shared that he never intended to find such a youthful romantic partner.
