Fans are waiting on the edges of their seats for the latest M. Night Shyamalan flick, and it seems it will be coming sooner rather than later.
The "Sixth Sense" director took to Twitter Saturday to unveil the title and movie poster for his newest film. The movie is titled, "Old."
"Feels like a miracle that I am standing here shooting the first shot of my new film," the famed director wrote alongside the movie poster as well as a photo of himself on set.
Deadline reports that the cast of the new film includes Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Alex Wolff, and Vicky Krieps. While details surrounding the film are largely unkown, the film is reportedly based off of the novel "Sandcastle," which follows a group of people trapped on a strange beach where a body is found.
Shyamalan will write, direct, and produce the film.
Shyamalan hinted at the unveiling of a new film last week when he posted photos of himself scoping out locations for his newest scenes. "Me tech scouting with crew for new film!" he wrote. "We are just over a week away from shooting. Feel lucky to be telling stories again."
"Old" was originally slated to be released in February 2021 but has been pushed back until July due to pandemic delays in production.
