Michael B. Jordan is revealing what it took for him to prepare for his latest film.

From the trailer, one can ascertain that “A Journal for Jordan” is a tearjerker, a love story where his character goes off to war, and leaves a journal for his newborn child in case he doesn’t make it back.

It’s directed by Denzel Washington, and co-stars newcomer, Chanté Adams.

So then why’s everybody talking about Jordan’s nude scene?

In fact, “A Journal for Jordan” is a pretty family-friendly film, but one scene called for some skin.

"We always knew there were gonna be intimate moments that we wanted to show,” said Jordan in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I mean, what's a real love story movie without those intimate Black love moments.”

The “Black Panther” star was up for anything, though he didn’t know what his director and cinematographer Maryse Alberti (“The Wrestler”) exactly had in mind for one post-hay roll wake-up scene.

And as EW bluntly explains, “the shot ultimately included a few frames of the actor's rear end as he opens a set of blinds.”

Jordan says he and Washington had some nervous laughs before filming the scene, but added that, "you wanna save those moments of being vulnerable for the right project. To make sure it's sophisticated, it's elevated to the right level, when you're gonna reveal yourself like that. And yeah, this was the one for me."

Jordan told EW back in October that he had trained at Fort Irwin military base in California to get the right angles on playing a military man. As far as what the training might’ve done for his posterior angles, Jordan simply said, "Hey man, listen – squats."

“A Journal For Jordan” is in theaters now.
