Olivia Newton-John Touts Timeless Bond With 'Grease' Co-Star John Travolta

Maybe Danny isn’t a fake and a phony after all!

Olviia Newton-John had some gushing words about John Travolta.

The 71-year-old actress spoke on the strong connection that she still feels with her former “Grease” co-star, reports Daily Mail.

“We just have a connection, he's a wonderful human being,” the star raved in comments made to Australian magazine New Idea.

The feeling is mutual for Travolta.

The 65-year-old actor shared words of admiration for Newton-John and her strength and perseverance in an ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer.

“I'm very happy about Olivia,” he said, speaking at the premiere of his film “Fanatic” last week.

“She looks incredible. She doesn't look any different than she did years ago. I'm proud of her.”

The comments of mutual respect come days after the pair got together to celebrate the 41st anniversary of “Grease.”

Last week the pair reunited in their “Grease” costumes for a public sing-along of the movie in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Newton-John showed up in Sandy’s yellow girl-next-door get-up, while Travolta looked greaser as ever in a classic leather jacket and swooshing slicked hair.

Who wouldn’t feel this gushy in their old high school uniform?

The reunion was the duo’s first in over 40 years since the 1978 film was made, Newton-John noted in her caption of a photo of the two that she shared on Instagram.

Newton-John announced earlier this year that she is battling breast cancer for the third time, after diagnoses in 1992 and 2013.

The actress auctioned over 500 items from her personal collection earlier this fall, including the bad-girl outfit Sandy wore at the end of “Grease.”

The skintight satin pants sold for $162,500 to Spanx founnder Sara Blakely, while the leather jacket was won for $243,000 by an anonymous bidder who returned the jacket back to Newton-John.

Proceeds from the auction towards Newton-John’s Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Australia.
