Alessia Cara is good at impressions. Duh.
The “Here” singer has previously shown her skills on The Tonight Show, delivering perfect impressions of Amy Winehouse and Alanis Morrisette, but this weekend Jimmy Fallon made her take it up a notch.
Fallon tasked Cara with switching through 7 different impressions during one song, performing Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” like never before.
“That is like the hardest song to do an impression of,” Cara added before The Roots jumped into the beat. From Cardi B and Ariana Grande, Alessia flips into uncanny versions of her pop peers with unflinching ease. It’s a must watch.
Never one to sit on the sidelines, Fallon got his own impression in too during the show. The pair performed a live mash-up of Cara’s hit with Zedd, “Stay”, intermixed with The Bee Gees’ “Stayin Alive.” Jimmy of course brings the falsetto in full effect, along with some disco pants and Gibb facial hair.
The GRAMMY winner for Best New Artist released a new EP called This Summer on September 6, including the song "Rooting For You." After a big tour with Shawn Mendes, Cara is kicking off her own headlining tour later this week. The Pains Of Growing Tour runs into November. You can find the full list of dates here.
