Alex Rodriguez Teaches Jennifer Lopez, Kids to Play Baseball in Backyard While Self-Isolating

The former Yankee says 'she hits better than I do'

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are joining thousands of families that are staying home amid the coronavirus pandemic, and they’re using the time to show their children some of their favorite activities.

Rodriguez livestreamed a baseball clinic for his social media followers this week, and followed up by sharing a heartwarming video on Instagram of himself playing with his blended family.

The former Yankee taught Lopez, his daughters Natasha and Ella, and Lopez’s daughter Emme some tricks of the trade in the backyard of their home, saying it “was so much fun watching them take some cuts.”

Calling it “a dream day for me,” Rodriguez said he “had a blast playing a little baseball in the yard with the four powerful young women in my life” and reminisced on learning to play the game at that age.

He also joked that the “only depressing part was watching Jen lock in on her swing and launch one,” before admitting that “she even hits better than I do!”

Rodriguez also had some words of inspiration for his fans that are struggling during the pandemic. He shared that while William Shakespeare was quarantined because of the plague “he wrote King Lear. You can let this time pass you by, or you can seize it and use it to work on your swing, watch a ton of video, and make yourself a better player.”
