EXCLUSIVE: BTS Reveals the First Thing They’ll Do When They Return to the Stage and Previews Upcoming VMAs Performance

It’s been a “Dynamite” day for BTS and ARMY as we’ve been dancing non-stop to their new smash hit.

BTS released their brand new disco pop song at Midnight bringing along a wave of much needed positive energy. It’s upbeat, it’s funky,  it’s dynamite.

With all the excitement around the new single, we’re counting down the days until the MTV Video Music Awards where BTS is set to perform “Dynamite” for the very first time. In an interview with RADIO.COM’s Kevan Kenney, the K-Pop superstars gave us a sneak peek at what we can expect.

“This is going to be our first performance of ‘Dynamite,’ RM said. “It’s kind of like ‘disco, disco, disco, retro, retro, retro.’ It’s the first time for us too.”

Although the performance marks BTS’ first since their record-breaking online concert “BANG BANG CON: The Live,” the boys have been staying in shape with a lot of practice. “I think it’s just a matter of practicing more and more. The more you perform, the more fit you get. Fitness for working out and fitness for performing are two different things.” Jimin said

“You have to eat a lot in order to stay fit. Eat well, sleep well, work out well, sing well, and perform well.” V added.

As much as we’re excited to watch BTS perform at the VMAs, we’re equally as excited for the day BTS can return to the stage and perform in front of fans again. Fortunately, they’re just as excited to perform for ARMY and their fans around the world.

So what’s the first thing they’ll do when they step out on stage again? Glad you asked.

“We will do our intro song,” SUGA said. V then added, “yes we will do that, and do our introductions. ‘I’m your hope, you’re my hope, I’m J-Hope.’”

J-Hope flashed a smile and admitted “I think I will cry.”

Jin had another message he wants to deliver to fans. “I think I’ll say I missed the ARMY first.”

“Dynamite" is a RADIO.COM World Premiere, which means you can hear it all day on Friday August 21, right here and on the RADIO.COM app.
