BTS Set to Debut 'Dynamite' at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards

With single dropping August 21

You guys, BTS will be performing at the 2020 Video Music Awards!

MTV made the announcement, Tuesday August 4, that our K-pop obsession will be performing their newest and yet to be released single “Dynamite” at the award show, the evening of August 30.

This will mark the first-ever VMA performance for BTS as well as the TV debut of their new, English song, which is set to be released on Aug. 21.

According to a promotion schedule enclosed in the official press release announcing the song, BTS have quite the roll out planned. “The promotion schedule gives a glimpse into a variety of contents (all times in ET); starting from August 10, three teaser photos will be revealed in order, after which the official music video teaser will roll out on August 18.” All leading up to, “August 21, ‘Dynamite' and its official music video will premiere following the countdown live.”

The nominees for the 2020 VMAs were announced just last week with Ariana GrandeLady GagaBillie Eilish and The Weeknd all leading the pack and coincidently all up for Video of The Year. And BTS didn’t fair to badly either, reeling in three nominations of their own in the Best Choreography, Best Pop and Best K-Pop categories.

So mark your calendars and set your alarms ARMY, exciting things are coming from BTS this August!
