The MTV Video Music Awards draws near and two more star-studded categories were announced before the August 30 ceremony; Best Group and Song of the Summer.
A recently revitalized reward, superstar K-pop band BTS will defend their Best Group crown. The field of nominees also include:

Nominees for Song of the Summer will face off in a winner-take-all Instagram Story voting bracket which begins today on MTV’s handle. Among the tracks recognized are three of pop music’s power women who kept us from extreme boredom during this quarantine-filled summer. Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion for “WAP,” Taylor Swift’s heartfelt single, “cardigan” and Miley Cyrus for “Midnight Sky.”
