Charlie Puth and Elton John have finally come together on a new collaboration.
On September 22, Puth and Elton dropped their new duet together called “After All.” All about finding true love, the new ballad arrives just before the debut of John’s upcoming project, The Lockdown Sessions.
The icon will share a series of duet performances with artists he collaborated with during the pandemic lockdown through the last year and a half.
Puth and John’s new track features heavy production work from the “Hard On Yourself” singer, with electronic piano and strings flowing throughout the sweet tune. Puth and John wrote the song together along with Jacob Kasher Hindlin.
In a recent statement, Elton and Charlie spoke of their admiration for one another. John noted, “Charlie is an amazing musician; we just hit it off. He’s become a friend and a friend of the family ... He's incredibly quick, Charlie. We just had an amazing chemistry in the studio.”
Puth added, “As a songwriter, I have admired and looked up to Elton John my entire life. It is truly incredible how the melodies and chords seem to come to him instantly whenever he sits down at the piano ... He is world class and the true definition of a musical genius."
