Demi Lovato Set to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV

The comeback has arrived

Everything is coming up Demi. Demi Lovato has announced that she will sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV, happening on February 2 in Miami.

The prime spot for the big game will come just days after Lovato makes her return to the stage at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards, performing for the first time since 2018. “I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing,” Lovato captioned alongside that announcement, with the award show marking her first public performance since being sidelined by an overdose in July of 2018.

Lovato has been very public about her struggles, overcoming a lot over the past year and returning to her spot as one of the top artists in the world of Pop. Her spot singing the National Anthem follows in the footsteps of Gladys Knight, Pink, Luke Bryan, and Lady Gaga who have previously sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before kickoff.

Lovato’s last album, Tell Me You Love Me, arrived in 2017 and was followed by a world tour into 2018. Demi is a two-time GRAMMY nominee, and an outspoken advocate for mental health.

This year’s Super Bowl takes place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. RADIO.COM is celebrating the biggest weekend in sports with The Night Before concert happening on Saturday February 1 with Zac Brown Band. You can get all the details on the 5th annual event here.
