Just a reminder that John Cena loves BTS

Cena couldn't help but gush about BTS during his 'Tonight Show' appearance

We all have “guilty pleasure” music we love, even if it may be unpopular in your social circle. Don’t go calling BTS a guilty pleasure for John Cena though because it’s genuine love.

Cena was the first in-studio guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production earlier this year. His appearance comes at a good time as BTS is taking over The Tonight Show for the entire week and to put things bluntly, Cena loves the K-pop superstars.

“I love what this band has done,” he said. “They’re this massively popular thing and they’ve been so globally popular for so long that I thought, ‘ok I should probably know about this.’”

“When I started to look at BTS and listen to their music, I was originally drawn because there were rappers in that crew,” he said. “They use sick-ass boombap beats and actually rap and I thought, ‘I like this, this is pretty great!’”

“I got interested in the music; then I got interested in what the music stood for,” he added.

“They advocate self-love, they advocate don’t be afraid of failure, they advocate that you are enough. They’re kinda trying to shatter all the stereotypical difficulties and uncomfortable situations that we all go through and they are catering that message to people who are living that: Young people.”

Cena and the rest of ARMY will want to add Tuesday, October 6 at 6PM ET/3PM PT to their calendars as BTS will be joining us for an exclusive RADIO.COM LIVE performance.

Fresh off the release of their latest hit “Dynamite” and a successful appearance at the 2020 VMAs, BTS will be stopping by to deliver a performance you won't want to miss.
