Justin Bieber Faithfully Puts in Work for 'Holy' Video with Chance the Rapper

'The new era begins'

Justin Bieber promised us something new, and that’s exactly what he delivered with “Holy.”

JB’s latest single, which features Chance the Rapper, arrives alongside a music video directed by Colin Tilley, and while the visual takes us to work, the song itself takes us to church with its gospel vibes, and when experienced together it makes us feel all the feels.

In the music video Justin portrays an oil-rig worker whose plant gets shut down due to a “global situation.” Joined by actress and singer Ryan Destiny, who takes on the role of wifey. The two deal with some pretty heavy stuff along the way of the five and a half minute video. But after luckily encountering a kind stranger played by Wilmer Valderrama, things start to look up.

“Holy” is an astounding celebration of faith, hope and love, with lyrics like, “I don't believe in nirvana/ But the way that we love in the night gave me life,” and “Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me / Feels so holy.” Chance’s verse also tackles the topic of faith, rapping “I know I ain't leaving you like I know He ain't leaving us/I know we believe in God and I know God believes in us.”

We have to say, if “Holy” is just the start of Justin’s “new era,” we are here for it. Okay, enough talking and more watching, check out the video for Justin Bieber’s “Holy” for yourself below.
