Boom, Roasted: Lizzo, Green Day, Luke Combs, Alice Cooper Read Mean Tweets on 'Kimmel'

Billie Eilish, Monsta X and Perry Farrell were also on the hot seat

Twitter is not a safe place to be. The trolls will find you, especially if you’re a celebrity. But sometimes they get a chance to fight back, or just kill them with kindness, in the always fun “Mean Tweets” segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Billie Eilish kicked things off with a comment about her wardrobe choices, reading “Billie Eilish dresses like she got her clothes stolen at the gym, so they gave her what they had in the lost n found bin.” The “everything i wanted” singer quietly acknowledged the tweet.

The internet was just as unforgiving to Lizzo. The “Truth Hurts” singer repeated a mean tweet directed at her: “Lizzo. Bus passes and happy meals. Two things that I imagine #Lizzo has seen a lot of.” Never one to back down, she clapped back “Yeah, I’m a big b**** and I ride a bus, a tour bus mother******, where’s yours?”

Green Day provided some laughs when drummer Tré Cool took his place on the hot seat, reading “Why does Tré Cool from Green Day look like the emo version of Ted Cruz?” The question cracked up frontman Billie Joe Armstrong who added: “Well, (bassist) Mike (Dirnt) looks like Putin.”

Country stars were not spared during the segment, with Midland, Luke Bryan and Luke Combs taking shots: “Luke Combs makes music for people who taste the gas before they fill up their truck,” the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer read.

We also heard from Chance the Rapper, Perry Farrell, Monsta X, John Mayer, Alice Cooper, Cardi B and Leon Bridges. Check out the full segment in the video above.
