Watch Miley Cyrus Perform a Gorgeous Pink Floyd Cover On 'Saturday Night Live'

Watch the fireside performance of 'Wish You Were Here'

Saturday Night Live returned with another "At Home" edition this past weekend featuring cast members and guests appearing through Zoom video chat.

Miley Cyrus joined the show as the musical guest performing a wonderful cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.”

Sitting fireside with her guitarist Andrew Watt appropriately socially distanced, the duo delivered a stripped-down, acoustic version of the Pink Floyd classic.

Much like Coldplay’s Chris Martin the week before, Cyrus delivered a timely song that’s fitting for our current situation. As Cyrus sang “how I wish, how I wish you were here,” it served as a sentiment felt by many at this time.

The performance also marked the first public appearance for Andrew Watt since he revealed a positive COVID-19 test back in March. At the time of his diagnosis, Watt wrote on Instagram, “social distancing is to protect someone’s mom and dad, someone’s grandmother… It’s not about you. It’s about everyone fighting this as a team. Stay safe. Now more than ever…”

Recently, Miley Cyrus dedicated an entire week’s worth of her daily Bright Minded Instagram show to those working on the front lines in the face of COVID-19. The singer spotlighted the countless individuals "who are working tirelessly and courageously to serve others during this critical time."

From healthcare workers, food bank providers, grocery store workers, janitors, and many more, Cyrus said it was important to highlight everyone "making a real impact in their communities" and "inspiring others around them to make a difference however they can."
