Pikachu and Katy Perry are collaborating, say what!? After a year full of new music and newborns, Katy is adding a brand new project to her to-do list for 2021.

This year Pokémon will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and the “Harleys in Hawaii” singer, is collaborating with the legendary cartoon franchise on an honorary music program with Universal Music Group.
Not all the details have been spilled for the special 25th anniversary music, however, P25 Music will boast celebratory activations around the globe as the new program unfolds.
Perry told People, "I love being a part of anything that is playful and is good storytelling and has really good messages to share with the world.” She adds, "now having a child myself, I understand that it's so important to play. This is a continued extension of who I am."
Katy grew up loving the wonderful characters of Pokémon.
In 2019 the singer visited The Pokémon Café during a summer trip to Japan.

Additionally, while announcing her Pokémon collab, Perry is also celebrating Orlando Bloom’s 44th birthday. The artist took to Instagram to wish Daisy Dove’s dad a happy birthday and share a handful of never before seen flicks of the couple.
Katy writes, “Happiest 44th to my love, brilliant father of my Dove & a shimmering mirror that sees and reflects to me what I can’t yet see….” She continues, “Thank you for always going back down to the mat with me and never tapping out…So glad my moon found it’s sun, love you whole world doe.”
The sweet photos show the couple throughout different stages of their relationship. Perry made the “location” of her images “God Sent Me An Angel from the Heavens Above.”
