Looks Like the Foo Fighters Are Recording a New Album in Someone's House

The band shared some amusing pics

The drummer is somewhere upstairs and the singer is in the bathtub. At least that’s how it appears things are set-up as the Foo Fighters ramp up work on their new album.

The band shared a picture and a video on social media that indicate progress is being made. The new music is apparently being created in someone’s home. The video – accompanied by a backing track - shows a drum kit scattered on a staircase, while the picture shows a mic stand in a bathtub with the caption: “Come on in. The water’s fine.” Both posts contain the hashtags #FF2020 and #FF25.

Recording an album in someone’s home and even a bathroom is not all that unusual. The Red Hot Chili Peppers created their 1991 masterpiece Blood Sugar Sex Magik in the mansion where magician Harry Houdini once lived. And Jim Morrison laid down the vocals to The DoorsLA Woman album from the bathroom of the band’s office and rehearsal space.

Foo Fighters have been talking more and more about what will be their first studio album since 2017’s Concrete and Gold and tenth overall. Drummer Taylor Hawkins was one of the first to tease fans. Over the summer, he predicted a new LP for 2020 – the band’s 25th anniversary.

"From what I've heard from our fearless leader, Dave Grohl, he has a lot of demos that he's worked on and I think we'll start, once this tour is over… I think not too soon after that we'll start the process of putting the songs together as a band, he told Rock Sound. "It's a long process, we do a lot of demoing and stuff, but I think that we'll have, I'm hoping, I think we'll have a new record by next year. Should."

It certainly appears everything is on track for that to happen.
