Spinal Tap plan to 'take it to eleven' with reunion this month

This reunion goes to eleven

Rock fans may want to test their computer speakers as they are about to be blasted with music that is being played on amps that go to eleven.

Spinal Tap is getting back together for a virtual reunion on October 14 and will see the likes of Christopher Guest, Rob Reiner, Harry Shearer, and Michael McKean get together to help raise funds for the Democratic Party of Pennsylvania.

The event is moderated by Patton Oswalt and is being promoted as a one-time only live event. While it’s unclear if the group will offer a performance or not, all actors will be reprising their roles for what will surely be an entertaining evening.

"Every dollar raised goes directly towards ending Trumpism by winning Pennsylvania," the event’s invite reads.

"Democratic enthusiasm in Pennsylvania is already turned up to eleven — we're the Keystone State and the key to winning this election. We're excited to partner with the Spinal Tap team to bring even more energy to power Democratic wins from the State House to the White House," Pennsylvania Democratic Party executive director Jason Henry told The Hollywood Reporter.

The event is being put together by the same team that organized the Princess Bride reunion in September. That event featured Oswalt, Reiner and Guest along with the film’s stars like Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Carol Kane, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, and Billy Crystal. The event saw all actors and actresses reprise their original characters for a virtual table read that raised $4.25 million for Wisconsin Democrats.
