Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is among the esteemed winners at this year's Golden Globes alongside his writing partners Atticus Ross and Jon Batiste.

Reznor and Ross have worked on numerous film and television projects over the years, most notably the scores for The Social Network and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix's Bird Box, and their deep involvement in the fan-favorite Watchmen series on HBO among others.

Adding to that list was their work on the Disney and Pixar animated hit Soul, starring the voices of Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, which picked up the Best Original Score trophy at the 2021 Golden Globes ceremony.

"This is the first work of art I’ve ever made that I can show to my kids," Reznor said in his acceptance speech, although we'd consider using some of his more mellow tracks as awesome lullabies. Obviously, "Wish" could be a little dodgy.

“We spent a lot of time discussing how you’re supposed to feel when you’re first exposed to the Soul world. Then we went back to our studio, which is filled with a variety of real, imagined and synthetic instruments... seeing what felt emotionally right to create the fabric of this world." the Nine Inch Nails singer told Heroic Hollywood late last year about their approach to the score.

Watch the trailer for Soul below.

Currently, the duo is only a Tony Award away from joining the prestigious EGOT club -- already winners of an Emmy for Watchmen, a GRAMMY for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and an Oscar for The Social Network -- so this latest accolade will definitely help see them on their way. Thinking their take on Wicked would be wicked.
