Another Female Pop Diva Will Appear on 'Will & Grace'

Over the course of its ten seasons, “Will & Grace” has been no stranger to celebrity stunt casting.

After previously featuring pop diva cameos from the likes of Cher, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, and Britney Spears, it’s been revealed that the NBC series will employ one more songstress for its upcoming final season.

Demi Lovato is set to play a character named Jenny that comes into Will’s (Eric McCormack) life in “an unexpected way,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer will appear in three episodes when the series returns in 2020 for the last time. The groundbreaking hit was famously revived in 2017 after an 11-year hiatus and will sign-off for good at the end of these final 18 episodes.

Lovato also confirmed the news by sharing a photo of herself on the set of the series.

“Will & Grace & Demi,” the 27-year-old captioned a snap while reading a script on the couch.

The former “Camp Rock” star seems to be exercising her acting chops again as she’s also set to appear in Will Ferrell’s upcoming Netflix comedy “Eurovision.”

Set inside the renowned international song competition, the film also stars Rachel McAdams, Pierce Brosnan, and Dan Stevens.

While she didn’t attend the MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey on Monday, Lovato was up for Best Dance Video for her collaboration with Clean Bandit on the song “Solo.”

When an online fan asked why she wasn’t attending the show, Lovato teased by writing, “I skipped the VMA’s for a REASON. Well that and I just hate award shows.”

Now we know the “reason” was her acting gig in Los Angeles.
