"It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia'" was already the longest-running live-action TV comedy ever, but not it's shattering its own record!
FX has renewed the series for for more seasons, according to Variety.
"can I offer you four more seasons in this trying time? it’s always sunny in philadelphia has been renewed through season 18, making it the longest-running live action sitcom in TV history," the official FX Twitter account posted.
This means the sitcom will be on the air for at least 18 seasons. The announcement was made Thursday during Disney's massive Investor Day.
FX previously announced season 15 in May. It is set to debut on FXX in 2021 with episodes airing the following day on FX & available on Hulu.
The show was one of FX's first original series and originally premiered back in 2005. The pilot was original shot on a home video camera.
The sitcom centers around workers at a fictional bar in Philadelphia called "Paddy's Pub," where they engage in schemes and dealings for personal gain or in spite of each other.
The renewal comes as ratings have been trending up for the longtime series over in most recent seasons.
