"Jeopardy!" had fans screaming at their TV screens when a clue (from an episode filmed weeks ago) predicted the reunion of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.
Airing on Friday night, guest host Bill Whitaker read off the future-telling clue, "As a couple, they were known as 'Bennifer.'" Fans were delighted by the timely nod to the couple, knowing that in recent weeks, their rekindled romance has been much rumored.
The episode was filmed weeks in advance, indicating that the clue was selected prior to reports of the couple's newfound love.
This wasn't the only shocking moment in the episode. Eagle-eyed fans spotted a Montana category in the Double Jeopardy round. This was fitting, as "Bennifer" was recently spotted in Montana at Affleck's Big Sky home.
One Twitter user outed the show for its fortune telling skills on the platform, writing, "Excuse me but Jeopardy (filmed weeks in advance) manifested Bennifer 2021 AND their getaway to Montana with the clues that aired tonight!!!"
While most viewers were shocked at the timeliness of the clues, some were appalled that the contestants couldn't seem to guess the parties involved in the iconic "Bennifer" romance.
Lopez and Affleck began their love story in 2002, resulting in an engagement which ended in 2003 when they postponed their wedding just days before they were set to walk down the aisle.
They officially split in 2004.
The duo has been spotted together in recent weeks following Lopez's split from Alex Rodriguez in April. Affleck, also recently single, split from girlfriend Ana de Armas in January.
