Netflix gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the much-anticipated fourth season of one of its most beloved shows.
The streaming platform released a video of the “Stranger Things” cast at their season four table read.
The video shows the cast getting excited as they reunite and begin going over lines from the new season.
The popular mystery revolving around Hopper's fate was resolved in the teaser, which featured a dramatic shot of prisoners in a cold grim Russia building up to a big reveal: the return of David Harbour's beloved character.
The series creators, the Duffer brothers, confirmed the crucial comeback.
"We're excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper!" they said in a statement.
"Although it's not all good news for our 'American'; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human...and other," they added. "Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything...."
Netflix renewed the series for a fourth season back in September. In November, Netflix UK and Ireland announced the title of season four's first episode — "Chapter One: The Hellfire Club" — on Twitter.
The season was announced in September, when a short teaser hinted at a departure from Hawkins, Indiana, but with the Upside Down was still present.
The announcement was made nearly three months after the release of the show's third season on July 4. The first glimpse at the new chapter for the series ended with an ominous note, saying, "We're not in Hawkins anymore," as a bell rings out.
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for "Stranger Things 4."
