'Jeopardy!' Served Up a Question That No One Knew the Answer To

Sports trivia was nobody’s cup of tea on a recent episode of “Jeopardy!”

On Friday’s edition of the long-running game show, all three contestants got stumped over an NBA question, according to Complex.

After going through all the other categories, the sports-averse contestants made their way through the “Eastern Conference” topic.

The $400 clue proved to be a real head-scratcher upon it being revealed.

"In 2001 this 76ers guard became the shortest NBA MVP in history & was the All-Star game MVP in an Eastern Conference victory,” host Alex Trebek said.

Contestant Kris chimed in by incorrectly answering, “Who is Muggsy Bogues?”

But that was better than fellow contestants Erin and Jamie could muster up as both remained silent by not buzzing in.

The correct answer is Allen Iverson, whose nickname also happens to be “The Answer.”

In contestant Kris’ defense, although Bogues never played for the 76ers, at 5’3 tall, he is the shortest player in NBA history.

While Iverson may not have gotten any love on “Jeopardy!,” the former pro baller’s game is being honored by Reebok.

The brand recently launched an update to its Question Mid Double Cross sneakers, which Iverson wore during his rookie season in 1996.

In addition, fans in the Philadelphia area can toast to Iverson’s legacy with the help of a new beer.

Misconduct Tavern teamed up with Yards Brewing Company and created 'the Answer,' a new Sixers themed IPA available at the bars’ two downtown locations.

While Iverson played the majority of his 14 NBA seasons with the 76ers, he also spent time on the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and the Memphis Grizzlies.
