Denise Richards Reveals Her 9-Year-Old Daughter Said 'Dad' for the First Time

Father's Day was a little different this year for Denise Richards and her family as her daughter hit an important milestone just weeks before.

The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, whose 9-year-old daughter, Eloise, has a rare chromosomal disorder that affects her speech and development, has revealed that that the little girl has recently said "dad" for the first time.

Richards took to Instagram with a beautiful Father's Day tribute to both her own father and the father of her children.

"Happy Father's Day to my dad you are the best dad ever. Thank you for always being there & being an amazing role model. I love you so much," she writes.

She continued, "And happy Father's Day to my beautiful husband I can't imagine a better father for our Eloise & step father for sami & lola. I love you so much."

She then went on to detail Eloise's first time saying "dad." "And the greatest gift Eloise being able to say 'dad' for the first time a month ago," she concludes.

Richards adopted Eloise in 2011 as a single mother and later married Aaron Phypers. She revealed during the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Season 9 After Show that Phypers had plans to adopt Eloise as his own as well.

The actress has been open about Eloise's condition, outlining during the Season 9 reunion show that it was difficult to get a diagnosis and see her daughter go through so much testing. "It was hard to see it in black and white, to be honest," she explained.
