There were highlights from every chapter of the Goos catalog on stage at We Can Survive, but the moment remains "Iris," a song so big and powerful that it spans generations. "Having written a song like that, it casts a big shadow over the rest of your work," John Rzeznik reveals, "but that song has lasted forever. It's crazy, it freaks me out, but I have to be grateful that song came into my life, that I was there when it happened and not someone else."

When Karen noted Taylor Swift's admiration for the song, Rzeznik shared his own glowing words for the "Cruel Summer" singer. "She's amazing," shares John. "What amazes me about her is when everybody else was out starting their makeup lines and selling drinks and all that kind of stuff, she was sitting in a studio writing amazing music, she doubled down."

John and Robby also took time inside the Hard Rock Artist Lounge to take questions from the crowd, sharing the weirdest place they ever heard one of their songs, and what the 90s were really like. To hear more from the Goo Goo Dolls check out the full interview above.
