Lukas Graham singer Lukas Forchhammer tells us, “I like to write songs that I feel are missing in the world and I'm just, I'm gonna keep doing that. I feel sometimes the world gravitates towards it and sometimes not -- and I think that's perfectly OK.”

Any restrictions an artist may feel, “are pretty much self-imposed more than they're genre imposed,” he adds. “I mean, if you as a creative artist, if you're being influenced by people who maybe don't want you to have a political voice or really want to hear you sing love songs only -- then you're gonna be restricted. And then you can also not listen to those people and write the stuff you want to write.”

Flipping the script on Mike at the end of their chat, Lukas says, “Since my latest release is called ‘Cheat Code,’ and it is about making a relationship work. I would like to know: What's your cheat code for a happy life, happy wife situation?”

Mike remembers his uncle, “married for a gazillion years” to his aunt, who told him, "‘Just try to be kind. Why would you ever want to hurt someone that you love unconditionally?’ That is so simple, but it's true.”
