Farnell was using a green screen to show graphics when his goldendoodle Storm walked into view. He explained that his pup was sniffing for treats.

“Yes, Storm is in the building, getting some treats," Farnell said.

As the background changes to a blue sky with clouds, the newsman commented that his doggo was "walking on thin air". Storm continued wandering around during the rest of the forecast which resulted in some hilarious settings.

Toward the end of his segment, Farnell gave a shoutout to another canine viewer named Charlie.

Storm has a decent-sized fanbase with over 6,000 followers on his Instagram page.

This wasn't the pup's first moment on live television, as Farnell previously discussed the Storm's debut after he wandered into his weather forecast segment in 2012.

“I was working on my weather maps and I assumed Storm was under my desk,” Farnell told Pawish magazine in 2019. “A couple minutes later I glanced up to the TV monitor in front of me and there was Storm, popping his head up from under the News Desk right beside the anchor during our live broadcast."

The forecast looks bright for Storm's on-air future.
