28th annual greater philadelphia martin luther king day of service
The Global Citizen Organization promotes, leads, and advances social just efforts on the annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service, the oldest and largest King Day event in the nation and year-round initiatives. Over the past twenty-five years, more than two million volunteers have participated throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Dr. Martin Luther King Weekend at Eastern State Penitentiary
The Eastern State Penitentiary specialty weekend event is free, and highlights MLK's "Letter from Birmingham Jail" with professional actors, youth, and community leaders.
Readings will take place three times a day on Saturday 1/14, Sunday 1/15, and Monday 1/16 at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend 2023 at the Museum of the american revolution
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. with poetry at the American Museum of Revolution. The event kicks-off Saturday, 1/14 at 1 p.m. with more information at amrevmuseum.org.

The Museum of the American Revolution is blending spoken word, movement, and song with a special performance from the Philadelphia Jazz Project titled “Wait Means Never: A Musical Exploration of MLK's Letter from a Birmingham Jail."
The performance will go on both Saturday 1/14 and Sunday 1/15 at 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. All the events are included with the price of admission.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at the national constitution center
Free admission and extended hours will be taking place at the National Constitution Center this Monday, 1/16 with specialty programming - including two readings of Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech.
