The recently released song, which LAROI revealed he wrote with Justin Bieber, serves as LAROI’s latest taste of his forthcoming album, The First Time.
During their discussion about his latest single, LAROI shared that after nailing down the versus and already involving Central Cee, who he’d been longing to work with for quite some time, LAROI found himself struggling to settle on the song’s hook.
On a tight schedule, needing to turn in his album, one of the singer’s friends suggested involving Jung Kook, who was already in talks with LAROI to work on another track. Immediately excited by the thought, that’s exactly what he did.
Normally not one for dwelling on a song if the hook isn’t an immediate realization, LAROI felt different about “Too Much.”
"This one just felt so fun and so different and like we knew… if we could really find this out it could be cool vibes for the album. We’d been trying to get something in this world for a long time. This was something that just felt so right," he shared. "Every time we played the demo, it just made everyone want to dance.”

After breezing through Bru’s made up game of Too Much or Not Enough, LAROI confirmed his new album “is coming in November,” and revealed that since his last musical offering he’s “grown so much musically but also just like personally.” During that time he’s been trying to learn where he stands as an artists, and believes “this project is just me trying to figure that out.”
“I’m really proud of it, I love it,” he added, “I think it’s so much better than anything I’ve ever released in my life so I hope everyone else feels the same way.”
