Ree Drummond is opening up about her incredible weight loss transformation, and now she’s sharing her secret to dropping 38 pounds.
The host of popular Food Network show “Pioneer Woman” proudly took to TikTok and Instagram to show off her new figure after the coronavirus pandemic had a negative effect on her diet, People reports.
"I can't get away from food and I love to eat. Of course it crept up on me through the years, especially during COVID," she told her followers.
"Starting in January, I decided to get busy and lose some weight," Drummond continued. "No gimmicks at all. I just cut calories, exercised more, lifted a lot of weights. I look better but I feel so much better and that's what really counts."
In the clip, the food blogger, 54, said she is still a “goofball,” just now with a lot more energy.
"Moving more and building muscle has been the key for me! 💪 I still love fries, though," she captioned her video.
Drummond continued speaking about her weight loss journey in a recent Instagram post, saying that she has not cut out sweets entirely.
“The biggest takeaway is that dang, I feel so much better. And I still love cake, I just eat a Rhode Island sized piece instead of a Texas sized piece.”
Her inspirational story is compounded by the fact that Drummond has taken on her battle of the bulge during an already extremely tumultuous time in her life.
In March, she was faced with the terrible firetruck crash of her husband Ladd and nephew Caleb. Caleb was arrested on a DUI just a few weeks later in April.
Nicer news came along in early May, as Drummond’s eldest child, Alex, got married, which involved the Food Network star creating the menu for the event.
